Today we visited Tiger Kingdom! We got to visit smallest, small and big tigers! We were very skeptical at first. We thought maybe it is considered animal abuse? Once we got there I was happy to see a well maintained and modern establishment. The tigers were tired (hence some sleepy pics). They explained that the cats are nocturnal and deal with annoying tourist all day so they kinda just chill. The reason for them not ripping our heads off is because they are fed really well and are raised with human contact. It was a cool AND scary exprience! We weren’t sure if we would make it on an episode of ‘animals gone wild’. Haha. The babies are too cute and we were able to play with one. He was playing with a leaf. Haha. Oh the things that make cats happy! At one point a lady walked in with a flowy skirt and one of the babies started swating at it! Haha. The keepers had to stop him. It was a memorable experience and we can’t wait to go to the Elephant Nature Park!
Oh my oh my oh my. The trip is worth it just for those pics!!!!! Katie you really need to work at Animal Kingdom or some such place!!
How absolutely beautiful. I’ve been to Tippy Hedron’s Tiger Farm in Southern California but we never were this close to the tigers. Just awesome!
You have got to be kidding. That incredible.
incredible…talk about a lifetime experience…Scotty you do in fact have a tiger by the tail..were you and katie nervous being that close to the big tigers? … great pictures…great experience…Kevin
Kev, fortunately they don’t really give you much time to think about what you are doing. “It’s just a tiger.” That was the guy’s comment when we got in the cage with the biggest tiger.
Now that is my kind of CAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(to have).
