Three Countries in Three Weeks

Cuba

June 26th-July 3rd

We are heading to Cuba again! Almost a year exactly since our last trek to the island. This time we will be sailing through the seas to reach our destinations (bonus, Katie’s parents and their friends are on the cruise too!). We will be boarding the ship Fathom. Fathom is the first cruise ship company to be granted U.S. approval for round-trip travel between the U.S. and multiple destinations in Cuba.  The itinerary is to the cities of Havana, Cienfuegos, and Santiago de Cuba . The ship is authorized under current people-to-people travel guidelines as set forth by the U.S. government.

Switzerland

July 5th-July 13th

We have always wanted to go to Switzerland and Icelandair has made that possible! Icelandair offers a free stopover in Iceland when you use their airline. We chose our destination to be Switzerland because Scott’s good friend is a professional volleyball player (Phil Dalhausser) and he plays in the FIVB every July in Gstaad. Plus, Switzerland is kinda of amazing from what we can see. We are flying into Zurich and traversing our way down to Geneva.

Iceland

July 13th-July 20th

We were really torn seeing Iceland during the Northern Lights season or Summer. The difference is that not all the roads are open during Northern Light season. In the summer time, you have the Midnight Sun (doesn’t set) and the open roads! We decided to rent a camping van to drive the ring road! Did you know you can drive the whole island of Iceland in 18 hrs! We will be doing it in seven days!

Stay tuned for more posts as we get closer!!! See you soon!
